The Job Role

An opportunity has arisen for an individual who is passionate about the production of jewellery to work as a jeweller at our Darlington premises.  In this role, you will push boundaries and introduce new ideas to enhance Gillian Arnold’s already expansive line of jewellery.  The ideal candidate will be someone who is unique, loves creativity, has a clear vision and a keen interest in developing proficiency in jewellery creation. You will work directly with Gillian Arnold herself as well as her on-site production team.  This is a great opportunity for someone who has a number of developed ideas regarding jewellery design and is ready to bring those ideas to life.  You will be involved in the whole jewellery production process, with unrivalled access to Gillian’s jewellery products and materials at every stage of this process, from initial design all the way through to the polishing of finished jewellery. 

Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will likely have qualifications in jewellery making, or a related art and design field.  The nature of this role will require a hands-on approach and a willingness to get stuck in from the candidate, as well as excellent creative and teamworking skills.  A positive attitude and flexible mindset are also key for this role as the environment around you will be ever changing. 

Hours per week: 25 (working pattern will be decided upon successful obtainment of the job by your manager)

Hourly rate of pay: National Minimum Wage
