The Job Role
Based in the warehouse of our Darlington premises, you will help the production team oversee the dispatching of orders and coordinating of deliveries. Once supplier deliveries arrive at the premises, you will check them over for any damages and then store them neatly in the warehouse. If there are any shortages or damages found within stock, you will report this to your line manager whilst assisting them with the general importing and exporting of goods. You will be responsible for achieving swift customer delivery dates, and stock taking to ensure proper location of items in the warehouse. Additionally, you will help to maintain a clean and safe working environment for your colleagues in the production team.
Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have worked in a courier delivery environment in the past. Overseas courier experience is desirable, but not essential. You will also need to be computer literate with excellent communication skills to excel in this role as you will be working in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment. With this in mind, a proven track record of teamworking skills and self-motivation within a similar environment would be advantageous.
Hours per week: 25 (working pattern will be decided upon successful obtainment of the job by your manager)
Hourly rate of pay: National Minimum Wage
