Copywriter- Kickstart Job Vacancy
Copywriter
Gillian Arnold Boutique Darlington, 10-11 Post House Wynd, DL3 7LU
The Job Role
Reporting to your line manager, you will write, proofread, and publish content for eCommerce platforms, category pages, adverts, social media, and blogs. To excel in this role, it would be advantageous to have previously developed skills in copywriting, writing and proofreading, as well as experience using Content Management Systems such as WordPress. This is a role suited to somebody who enjoys writing about designer and lifestyle products as it will require creating content related to homewares, soft furnishings, jewellery and gifts produced by the Gillian Arnold team. This content will appear in many forms, including sales descriptions for products yet to launch online, and press releases to be sent to current and potential wholesale stockists, customer email lists and lifestyle magazines. Much of the job will require working independently, so an aptness for initiative is key, but being able to collaborate with other team members on certain projects would also be an asset to the role.
Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role will likely have obtained qualifications in creative writing or a related field. Experience with the software packages WordPress, Klaviyo and Mailchimp would also be advantageous. Additionally, being able to present a portfolio of published or written articles to demonstrate excellent written communication skills would also be beneficial.
