The Job Role
The perfect opportunity has arisen for an individual who would like to develop their pre-existing real-world sales experience to work as a sales and marketing assistant at our Darlington premises. An interest in art and design is key for this role as it will mainly involve marketing products handcrafted by Gillian Arnold and her production team. Additionally, you will seek out and identify new B2B clients across the UK and initiate contact with these clients via a number of communication methods including email, telephone, video call, and in person. You will also maintain contact with previous and already existing clients that have developed a relationship with the company. Your work will mostly take place alongside the company manager, as well as the other sales and marketing assistants on your team. Working with these team members, you will develop new ideas for generating customers and driving up sales online and physically in our boutiques.
Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role will have relevant B2B sales experience and/or qualifications as well as a strong and friendly telephone manner as telecommunication within this role will be frequent. It is also essential to have excellent IT skills, and well developed written and verbal communication skills. It would also be advantageous to be fluent in other languages, although this is not vital for the role.
Hours per week: 25 (working pattern will be decided upon successful obtainment of the job by your manager)
Hourly rate of pay: National Minimum Wage
